Abschneiden

slicing-off

Slicing-off. From the close bind, the edge is dragged along the arms or neck — a pressing motion, not a chop.

Two variants: the Oberabschneiden presses the edge upward against the wrists; the Unterabschneiden presses downward along the outside of their arms. Both convert a static bind into a wound without releasing the steel.
