Doubling. The short edge wraps over the bind and strikes the head from above before the opponent's parry has time to recover.

Distinguished from Mutieren by direction: where the mutation goes under the parry, the doubling goes over it. The cut is one continuous motion — bind, wrap, strike — and arrives behind their own blade.
