Folio 1rGerman (Liechtenauer)
Überlauffen
— overrunning
Overrunning. When they cut low, you do not parry — you arrive first from above along a structurally dominant line.
The verse names Überlauffen as the answer to any attack to the lower body. Raise the hands and cut straight down — your high line arrives first and from a position of leverage. If they try to rise to meet you, step offline and cut to the side opened by their reach.
