Pflug is the natural answer to Vom Tag's preparation. The hilt sits beside the right hip, the point levelled forward; from here the thrust flies on its own line and every parry passes through the bind rather than meeting it from above. Meyer treats Pflug as the foundation of his thrusting work and the destination of a missed Oberhau — the point that did not land finds its rest here.
