The Parter. A high vertical cut delivered against an opponent in Alber, the long arms keeping you safe.

Liechtenauer names the Scheitelhau as the destroyer of Alber. From Vom Tag the cut comes straight down at the parting of the opponent's hair with the arms held long, so even if they try to rise into the cut their point cannot reach you. If they invert their hands and lift the point into your face — the recommended counter — you read the displacement and turn the Scheitelhau into a thrust from Ochs.
